چکیده

This study explores the influence of partial replacement high reactivity Attapulgite (HRA) with cement by weight and evaluate effect curing temperatures on compressive strength modified paste (MCP). Recently, Iraqi clay(Attapulgite) has been processed to pozzolanic material HRA, after extracting it from quarry clays crushed grind filler then specific suitable calcinations temperature make this as a pozolznic material. The possibility replacing can be reduce cost impact manufacturing environment. In study, three percentages used 0, 10 20 % cement. samples cured in four 20, 40, 60 80 °C. dimension 50x50x50 mm3 were casted tested at ages 7, 28 days. test result shows that early without HRA °C higher than HRA. maximum percentage reduced concrete. days for 10% 40 increased up °C, while when decreased strength.

the effect of taftan pozzolan on the compressive strength of concrete in the environmental conditions of oman sea (chabahar port)

cement is an essential ingredient in the concrete buildings. for production of cement considerable amount of fossil fuel and electrical energy is consumed. on the other hand for generating one tone of portland cement, nearly one ton of carbon dioxide is released. it shows that 7 percent of the total released carbon dioxide in the world relates to the cement industry. considering ecological issu...

The Effect of Curing Temperature on the Properties of Cement Pastes Modified with TiO2 Nanoparticles

This paper investigates the effect of curing temperature on the hydration, microstructure, compressive strength, and transport of cement pastes modified with TiO₂ nanoparticles. These characteristics of cement pastes were studied using non-evaporable water content measurement, X-ray diffraction (XRD), compressive strength test, electrical resistivity and porosity measurements, and scanning elec...

Effects of High Temperature on Carbonated Calcium Silicate Cement (CSC) and Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC) Paste

This paper presents a comparative study on the effects of high temperature (~500°C) on carbonated calcium silicate-based cement (CSC), hydrated ordinary Portland cement (OPC), and hydrated OPC with 20% fly ash (FA) paste samples. The CSC is primarily composed of calcium–silicate minerals with different calcium to silica atomic ratios, such as wollastonite, rankinite, and pseudowollastonite. The...

PREDICTION OF COMPRESSIVE STRENGTH AND DURABILITY OF HIGH PERFORMANCE CONCRETE BY ARTIFICIAL NEURAL NETWORKS

Neural networks have recently been widely used to model some of the human activities in many areas of civil engineering applications. In the present paper, artificial neural networks (ANN) for predicting compressive strength of cubes and durability of concrete containing metakaolin with fly ash and silica fume with fly ash are developed at the age of 3, 7, 28, 56 and 90 days. For building these...

Influence of Temperature and Moisture on the Compressive Strength of Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymers

The effect of moisture absorption and high temperature on the compressive strength of unidirectional IM7/977-2 carbon/epoxy resins have been investigated experimentally. The specimens were divided into 4 groups, and tested under 4 different conditions by varying the testing temperature and moisture parameters. The fiber orientation selected were 0o, ±45o and 90o...
